The effects of long-term hazardous waste disposal by a major petrochemical company was the subject of a massive effort by the Environmental Protection Agency to engage in one of the most expensive cleanups of a hazardous waste site in the United States. The consequent claims for insurance coverage led to massive litigation against insurers. We took a lead role in defending a major insurer where virtually all insurance coverage issues pertinent to environmental claims were litigated and tried to a successful conclusion. This effort is representative of the depth of our expertise and experience in hazardous waste insurance coverage matters.
